The pharmaceutical industry employs large numbers of graduates and postgraduates with a wide range of qualifications. Many have studied science subjects, but there are opportunities for young people who have studied other subjects - for roles in human resources, finance, marketing and other areas.

This website, developed by the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, on behalf of its member pharmaceutical companies, provides a source of information on careers in the industry throughout the UK.

Information on the different areas where graduates and postgraduates can work is supplemented by a large number of individual case studies, profiles of people with information, not only on what they do, but how they got into that role.

Links to individual company websites allow those seeking employment to search their sites for jobs. Information on the types of jobs offered by different companies is gradually being added to the 'Pharmaceutical recruiters' area.
