School & College Careers Advisers

Information for school based career advisers, Connexions personal advisers and others who advise young people on courses and careers

chemistryResearch indicates that many young people are not aware of the variety of careers that they could follow; and that they are often not clear which subjects they should take.

This website is intended to meet the needs of career advisers seeking information on different career options for their students, as well as those of students - at school, college and university - deciding what they should do next.

Many young people are studying science subjects post 16, and increasing numbers are going on to study science at university. The most popular university science courses are Psychology, Sports Science and Medicine; however there are many other science courses which lead to exciting, well paid, jobs at the cutting edge of science.
