Opportunities without going to university

Pharmaceutical companies recruit small numbers of Apprentices at age 16 and 18. These are often in manufacturing or engineering areas, but some companies offer Apprenticeships in laboratory areas.

All Apprenticeships include day release for further study, often leading to BTEC National or Higher National qualifications. It is often possible to progress to an Honours degree which will also be studied for part time.

These opportunities are advertised in the local press and may also be featured on the company website.
